Frequently Asked Questions

How do we book you for our wedding?

Once you've contacted me and we've chatted about your day, I will send you a quote along with a contract for the package you've decided on.  In order to reserve your date on my calendar, I require the signed contract and a 50% non-refundable deposit.  The balance is due two weeks before your wedding.

Do you charge a travel fee outside of South Florida or Eastern North Carolina?

I do not charge travel fees for weddings within 60 miles of Palm Beach, including anywhere in Broward, Dade, Martin, or St. Lucie Counties.  I also do not charge travel fees for weddings in the Outer Banks, extending out to the Greenville, NC area.  Travel elsewhere is quoted on a case by case basis but typically includes airfare, lodging, transportation and a per diem for meals and other travel expenses.  Work permits may also be required for International weddings.

When do we get our photos?

You will receive your slideshow about 4-5 weeks after the wedding day and the full gallery 2-3 weeks after that.  Your high resolution files will be available for download via a password from your gallery.

Can you help us with our wedding day timeline to optimize our time with you?

Absolutely!  I am a firm believer that a great timeline makes a wedding day much more relaxed and stress-free.  You should enjoy every part of your day and a reasonable timeline is the best way to make that happen.  I work with wedding planners frequently and will be working closely with yours, if you have one, on the timeline.  If you do not have a wedding planner, I am happy to work with you to put together your wedding day timeline.

Do you work with a second photographer or assistant?

Unless it is a very small wedding or elopement I always bring an assistant to make the day flow more smoothly.  If you're having more than 150 guests I also recommend a 2nd wedding photographer as part of your package.  Sometimes, smaller weddings also need another photographer depending on the timeline and the number of locations involved.  This is one of the things we will go over in your consultation.

Do you offer wedding albums?

Several of my packages include fine art wedding albums and you can always purchase them separately.  These books are beautifully hand crafted and printed on archival materials with dozens of available cover options.  They are custom designed by me as a collaborative process to tell the story of your wedding day through your favorite photos.  Contact me if you'd like more information on my albums.

Can we order prints through you?

You can order prints at any time through your online gallery.  I offer a variety of options, including framed fine art prints, bamboo mounts, proof boxes and more.

Do you offer high resolution files?  How do we get those?

All of my packages include high resolution files with personal printing and usage rights.  Your files are always available for download from your online gallery via a password.  You can download the entire gallery or individual files at anytime.

Do you have liability insurance?

I carry liability insurance and am happy to provide your venue with a Certificate of Insurance.  Please send me the Venue legal name and address about two weeks prior to your wedding day along with your contact person and I will send it over to them.

Do you carry back up gear?

I have back up gear to my backup gear.  I usually bring 4-6 cameras along with a variety of lenses, lighting gear, and extra everything to every wedding.  One wedding I photographed in a state park was having power issues with their backup generator and I happened to have a brand new one in my car.  I don't usually carry one of those, but you never know.  I like to be prepared :)

Can we see some complete weddings you've photographed?

Absolutely!  I think it's so important to see full wedding galleries from any photographer you are considering.  After our consultation I will send over a few links to galleries you can look through so you can see how consistent my photos are throughout the wedding day and a variety of lighting situations.

Can you recommend local vendors you love?

After photographing hundreds of weddings I've worked with a variety of vendors and have been lucky enough to mostly work with great ones.  I'm happy to give you recommendations to wedding planners, stylists, cinematographers, florists, bands, dj's, hair and makeup artists, officiants, and more.
