So a few months ago I made a leap signed up for Jonathan Canlas' workshop and purchased a medium format film camera; a Hasselblad 500cm with the 80 mm Zeiss lens. I wanted to challenge myself creatively and force myself to slow down and be more deliberate with how I shoot. I'll be using this for my personal work all summer. I'll share some images (and a review) of the workshop soon, but for now here's a few portraits from Mel and Scott's wedding. I believe these were shot on Fuji 400H. I guess I need to start writing this stuff down :) ETA: I know that they are out of focus, but I think it was user error. It takes a bit to get used to the image in the viewfinder being flipped. I have some others from the workshop that are much sharper so I don't think there is anything wrong with the camera. For clients that may be curious, I will still be shooting primarily digital at weddings, but will start shooting some of the portraits on film in addition to the digital shots. Let me know what you think!
