Smith Barn Boston Wedding // Katherine and Tommy

Katherine and Tommy got married in May at the historic Smith Barn in Peabody, just outside of Boston.  I love the combination of their classic and timeless style with the rustic, country charm of the barn.   This wedding was extra special for me because I bought my first DSLR camera from Tommy, so he's somewhat responsible for all of this photography business.  I'm so thankful I was able to be there to document their special day.

Nerdy photographer stuff: All but the last 6 images were shot on film (Fuji 400h, Portra 800, Portra 160, Tri-x 400 and Delta 3200) with the Hasselblad 500cm, Canon Eos 3 and Zeiss Ikon Rangefinder.

Seagate Beach Club Wedding | Jen and Tim

Jen and Tim are the kind of people that make you believe in fairytale romances.  The kind of people that wear superman underwear to their wedding.  The kind of people that go on a month long honeymoon through India.  The kind of people that make me ridiculously happy that I'm a wedding photographer.   What an incredible honor it is to tell this story. I also have to mention that I finally had the opportunity to work on a wedding with my studio-mates, Laura (Make Merry) and Desiree (Desiree Dawn Events).  Both of these ladies are super-talented and were an absolute dream to work with.  Love you all!

A Wedding at the Deering Estate

Last month I tagged along with my friends Kyle and Seba for a gorgeous wedding at the Charles Deering Estate in Miami.  All of the images below were shot on my Hasselblad 500cm using Fuji 400h and Tri-x 400.   I love shooting this camera.  I love the square format, the sound it makes when you press the shutter, the unique character it gives photos.  Simply said, it has an old soul.

St. Patrick's Day Wedding at Out of the Blue

Sometimes you just want to tell the story.  Nothing posed, nothing scripted.  I love a beautiful portrait as much as anyone, but what gets my heart racing and the tears running is the story.  This is the tale of Katie and Josh and the wedding they shared with family and friends on St. Patrick's Day. Huge thank you to Emily and Bobby for coming all the way down from West Virginia to shoot with me.  Some of these images are theirs.
